Lenskart, one of India’s fastest‑growing online optical retailers serving about 5M visitors a month, faced rising technical debt and runaway cloud costs as it scaled. With a small DevOps team focused on stabilizing infrastructure using Terraform, Chef and Cloudflare, Lenskart needed a turnkey cost‑optimization and orchestration solution—so they evaluated and adopted Spot (Spotinst) to help manage EC2 Spot Instances without adding management overhead.

Spot implemented its Spot Instance orchestration integrated with Terraform to automate autoscaling by CPU, take continuous AMI backups, and schedule spot VM shutdowns, enabling immutable deployments and reduced operational load.
