Glympse is a mobility SaaS leader that provides real-time GPS sharing used in customer-facing apps, handling over 1,400 requests per second across multiple AWS regions on a Nomad by HashiCorp cluster. As they scaled, rising public cloud costs and manual over‑provisioning became a barrier; Glympse needed a solution that would reduce compute costs, integrate with their existing Nomad setup, manage underlying infrastructure, and autoscale for peak demand, so they evaluated Elastigroup from Spot.

Spot’s Elastigroup was deployed to integrate with Glympse’s Nomad clients, automatically register and drain nodes, predict interruptions, launch replacement Spot instances, and prioritize reserved instance utilization while autoscaling based on Nomad job queues.
