Case Study: Sorrento Minor Ball achieves 40 hours saved per season and streamlined registration with SportsEngine

A SportsEngine Case Study

Preview of the Sorrento Minor Ball Case Study

SportsEngine saves admin 40 hours of work every season

Sorrento Minor Ball, a small community baseball club in Sorrento, BC that fields up to eight teams and about 80 kids, was facing burnout among volunteers as manual, paper-based registration, cash/check payments and no website made administration overwhelming. To address this, the club turned to SportsEngine, using its Sitebuilder and Registration tools to modernize operations.

SportsEngine implemented online registration, payment processing, and a custom website (plus mobile app adoption for teams), which streamlined workflows and improved communication. As a result, secretary Jodi Romyn reports saving at least 40 hours of work each season, families can register anytime, coaches and parents get up-to-date schedules and messaging, and the club gained an affordable, time-saving solution from SportsEngine.
