A SportsEngine Case Study
Lake Stevens Youth Football, a Pacific Northwest feeder club with ten teams and nearly 300 athletes, struggled with growing administrative burdens after record registration: PayPal made payment tracking difficult, only 40–45% of families had paid by season start, and website/communication tools were limited. Volunteer leaders Chris Sauter (secretary) and Wally Shoot (webmaster) partnered with SportsEngine, using SportsEngine Registration, Sitebuilder, Invoicing, and Volunteer Management to address these challenges.
SportsEngine replaced PayPal, HomeTeamsOnline and TeamSnap by providing integrated registration and payment processing, a customizable site builder, a mobile app, and built-in communications and roster tools. As a result, nearly 100% of families now pay on time (up from ~40–45%), admins can see bounced payments on the SportsEngine dashboard and secure working capital up front, site management across teams is simpler, and coaches can message families instantly.
