University of North Dakota implements SPOL across 11 public colleges and universities

The University of North Dakota, part of the North Dakota University System (NDUS), needed a unified framework to support strategic planning, track performance metrics, and document evidence for accreditation and operational improvements across its 11 public institutions. To address this challenge, the NDUS selected the cloud-based strategic planning and institutional effectiveness software from vendor SPOL.

SPOL provided a comprehensive solution that enabled collaboration and linked all facets of planning, assessment, and accreditation in a single platform. The implementation allowed for a system-wide view of strategic alignment and facilitated continuous improvement. An early success was achieved at the University of North Dakota's School of Medicine and Health Sciences, which began using SPOL's Accreditation module to manage its M.D. accreditation process, build evidence files, and establish workflows. The software served as a central repository for planning documents, and its use expanded to other health science programs, informing future strategic goals.
