A Splunk Case Study
Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) is a global container transportation and logistics company headquartered in Hong Kong with operations in 70 countries. Facing high-volume data exchange across many proprietary and open-source systems, OOCL lacked end-to-end visibility and near-real-time correlation of events, making consolidated reporting slow and troubleshooting largely reactive.
By deploying Splunk Enterprise, OOCL gained a single-pane-of-glass view across infrastructure and applications, enabling near-real-time monitoring, automated anomaly detection, and proactive identification of “choke points.” The result was improved logistics reliability and service optimization, faster troubleshooting and system administration, and freed development resources to extend monitoring and innovate on client-to-server visibility and analytics.
