Case Study: Dubai Airports achieves faster passenger flow and operational efficiency with Splunk

A Splunk Case Study

Preview of the Dubai Airports Case Study

Dubai Airports Flies Into The Future With Splunk

Dubai Airports, the world’s busiest airport handling about 90 million passengers a year and expected to reach 100 million, needed to increase capacity without adding terminals, runways or other infrastructure. The challenge was to use data to drive efficiencies across passenger flow, security, baggage and facility management to deliver a better customer experience at scale.

By deploying Splunk Enterprise to aggregate real‑time data from queue cameras, metal detectors, Wi‑Fi access points, the 150 km baggage system and bathroom sensors, Dubai built an operations center that turns data into operational actions and forecasts. Outcomes include 95% of passengers through security in five minutes or less, consistently high‑performance Wi‑Fi with no black spots, improved baggage routing and load prediction for 150 million bags, and more efficient cleaning and staffing that enhance service and security.
