Discovery Communications, the world’s leading pay-TV programmer with nearly three billion cumulative subscribers, needed to meet SOX compliance, strengthen security, and gain end-to-end operational visibility into the health of its online services and content value chain as it expanded globally and virtualized its infrastructure. Discovery deployed Splunk Enterprise to aggregate logs and verify compliance, then added the Splunk App for VMware, Splunk Enterprise Security to replace a legacy SIEM, and Splunk IT Service Intelligence for service-centric KPIs.
