A Splunk Case Study
Crossroads Foundation is a Hong Kong–based nonprofit that runs global logistics, e‑commerce and experiential programs to serve disadvantaged communities, but its small IT team needed to monitor a widely distributed infrastructure, meet PCI requirements for online donations, and scale support across multiple countries while managing change effectively. Ensuring consistent uptime and visibility across servers, network devices, environmental sensors and volunteer systems was critical to sustaining operations and partner obligations.
A donated Splunk Enterprise license centralized logs and analytics, enabling real‑time fault detection, out‑of‑the‑box change monitoring for Windows and Unix, and PCI compliance for online payments. The result was improved operational visibility, faster remediation, lower operating costs, better resource allocation, longer equipment life and enhanced service to donors, partners and beneficiaries.
