Cerved, a leading Italian provider of credit and business information serving over 30,000 clients (including 90% of Italian banks), needed agile reporting, analytics and visualizations to monitor vast amounts of machine-generated data, improve online service performance and meet ISO27000 compliance. Its existing mix of homegrown monitoring tools left gaps in visibility — for example, it could not easily track how long customers waited between clicking “buy” and receiving information.

Working with Splunk partner Kiratech, Cerved deployed Splunk Enterprise to index, search and correlate web, application and infrastructure logs. Real-time dashboards and proactive alerts — shared with more than 1,200 employees — gave a holistic view of system health, increasing service availability, enabling more strategic, data-driven decisions across the business and reducing the burden of ISO27000 compliance.
