ABN AMRO, an Amsterdam-based bank serving retail, private and corporate clients, was undergoing a digital transformation and needed a holistic way to manage a prolific software development lifecycle across roughly 100 teams and 1,000 applications. The bank deployed Splunk Enterprise (with Splunk ITSI being rolled out) to correlate data from tools like Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube and ServiceNow and to build real-time dashboards showing build frequency, code quality, security and release success. The outcome was improved application delivery, faster time-to-market, reduced downtime and security incidents, and greater transparency for developers and C-level executives—plus team engagement through gamified performance dashboards.
