Increased Click-to-Install Conversion with the help of app store A/B testing

Vezet, a ridesharing app operating in more than 120 cities across Russia, wanted to improve its click-to-install conversion rate and better understand which app store page elements most influenced user behavior. The team used SplitMetrics Optimize for iOS app store A/B testing alongside Google Play Console experiments for Android.

SplitMetrics helped Vezet test screenshots, videos, landscape layouts, and app ratings to find the most effective combinations. The strongest results came from larger fonts and added usability slogans, which lifted CTI by 2.7% versus the previous winner and 4.1% versus the current version; the company also learned that videos and landscape screenshots did not improve conversion, while ratings mattered more for iOS users.
