Case Study: Experian achieves 50x release velocity and risk-free continuous deployments with Split

A Split Case Study

Preview of the Experian Case Study

How Experian Increased Release Velocity X50

Experian, a multinational consumer credit reporting company with employees in 44 countries, faced a major release challenge: about 3,000 product and engineering staff were forced into risky “big bang” deployments that required heavy cross-team coordination across time zones, slowed delivery, and caused stress for developers. Their goal was to move to smaller, continuous releases throughout the workday to reduce risk and speed up innovation.

By adopting Split’s feature flags and controlled rollouts, Experian can now expose new features to a small portion of users, toggle features on and off, and experiment safely with real consumer data across 50+ microservices and front-end repos. The change transformed their release process—deployments grew from 2 to 100 per month (a 50×, or X50, increase), rollouts are protected and less stressful, and Jira integration has reduced the research and cognitive load for teams.
