A Splashtop Case Study
Val Verde Unified School District (VVUSD), a K-12 district serving nearly 20,000 students in Riverside County, needed to modernize classroom technology. Its existing SMART interactive whiteboards and Interwrite tablets were inflexible, difficult to use, costly to maintain, and limited teacher mobility, while alternative options like Apple TV were impractical for older projectors and Chromebook support.
VVUSD implemented Splashtop Classroom and Mirroring360 from Splashtop to enable teachers to present, annotate, and move freely around the room using iPads, while students shared content from iPads and Chromebooks. The solution was centrally deployed and integrated with Active Directory, eliminating cabling and setup work across 800 classrooms; the district estimated Apple TV installation would have taken one employee more than four months, and Splashtop also helped reduce costs, boost engagement, and support common core learning goals.
