Increasing the Efficiency and Quality of Care Through Continuous Monitoring and Remote Access Software

Slingeland Hospital in Doetinchem, the Netherlands, needed a way to continuously monitor high-risk patients while reducing physical trips to patient rooms during COVID-19. To support its Sensing Clinic, the hospital turned to Splashtop and its Splashtop On-Prem remote access software to help clinicians initiate sensor measurements from a virtual control room.

With Splashtop On-Prem, Slingeland Hospital’s team remotely activated sensors on 20 Samsung A10 gateways and increased measurement frequency without disturbing patients. The solution enabled remote monitoring of up to 20 patients, reduced unnecessary trips, lowered COVID-19 transmission risk, and improved rest and quality of care.
