Heinrich Schmid Group, a pan-European craftsman's business, faced the challenge of preparing for a migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. To facilitate this business transformation, they partnered with vendor SPIRIT/21 to implement the SAP Business Partner as a new master data object, a crucial preliminary step for the future upgrade.

SPIRIT/21 implemented the Customer Vendor Integration (CVI) to consolidate customer and vendor data into business partner master records. This involved synchronizing number ranges, migrating data, and defining relationships and authorizations. As a result, Heinrich Schmid is now well-prepared for its SAP S/4HANA migration, having reduced future conversion downtime and removed these preparatory steps from the project's critical path, thereby reducing overall pressure.
