Financial services firm conquers compliance with Spirion-first approach

Patelco Credit Union, a large not-for-profit financial institution, faced the challenge of meeting stringent new Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance regulations by a tight deadline. They needed to rapidly locate and classify all sensitive data across their network. To address this, they turned to the data discovery and classification capabilities of vendor Spirion.

By implementing a Spirion-first approach, Patelco was able to accurately inventory and classify data across 350 terabytes of data on 180 servers and 1,700 endpoints. The solution from Spirion provided full visibility into their data environment, which allowed them to strengthen remediation processes and integrate with their existing McAfee DLP for policy enforcement. As a result, Patelco successfully met the urgent PCI compliance deadline and established a lean, effective framework to prepare for future, even more stringent regulations.
