R&S BICK Mobilfunk, a specialist in TETRA digital radio networks, needed to automate the time-consuming system and component testing for its ACCESSNET®-T product. They required a stable, scalable solution to replace manual testing and handle the creation of thousands of test cases for their reactive, protocol-based systems.

Spirent Communications provided its TTCN-3-based TTworkbench test platform. The solution offered a rich integrated environment with powerful automation tools and the flexibility to run on PC. After implementing the necessary adapters, R&S BICK easily created its own test suites. Using Spirent's TTworkbench, they successfully automated testing, which is now predominantly run overnight, significantly reducing the daily burden of manual testing.
