How Spirent's GSS6450 helped Swift Navigation conduct flexible and reliable testing

Swift Navigation, a provider of high-accuracy precise positioning solutions, needed to verify its data correction services through a demanding cross-country vehicle test drive. Their challenge was to capture GNSS, IMU, and correction data in the highest fidelity over long periods without adding noise, requiring a solution that would also allow for repeatable lab testing. To meet this need, they partnered with vendor Spirent Communications.

Spirent’s GSS6450 RF record and playback system was installed in the test vehicle, enabling high-fidelity, concurrent capture of multiple RF signals. This solution allowed Swift Navigation to collect many hours of high-quality, repeatable data from various driving environments. According to the customer, Spirent’s product delivered the absolute performance required, providing extremely high-quality recordings that could track low-elevation satellites even in challenging conditions.
