European Service Provider Slashes Testing Time in Half

The customer, a major European service provider, faced a bottleneck in its device certification process due to manually-intensive testing. This slowed the delivery of new mobile devices to market. To accelerate testing and ensure service level agreements were met, the provider partnered with vendor Spirent Communications to automate its mobile device testing environment.

Spirent implemented a customized Test Automation solution using its iTest platform. This enabled 24/7 automated testing, integrated with the provider's validation network, and managed complex trace analysis. The solution slashed average test times in half, from two-to-four weeks down to just one-to-two weeks, which drastically accelerated time to market and freed engineering resources for higher-value work.
