The major European service provider faced the challenge of inefficient, slow, and resource-intensive manual regression testing for its xDSL, G.FAST, and Vectoring infrastructure. Spirent Communications was engaged to help automate these test cases, which needed to integrate with the provider's existing equipment and support a wide range of connections to DSLAMs and CPEs.

Spirent implemented a customized solution based on its iTest platform, creating an automated testing environment that integrated with the provider's spectrum analyzers and supported dozens of hardware ports. This resulted in significantly faster and more productive regression testing for the service provider, allowing tests to run outside of business hours and catch more errors before they could affect services. The solution also included ongoing support from Spirent engineers to ensure continued system reliability.
