Assistance for GAC in Ethernet ECU Verification and Assurance for In-vehicle Intelligent Applications

The GAC R&D Center, the technology management branch for the GAC Group, faced challenges in effectively testing the new network architectures and transmission protocols of its in-vehicle Ethernet systems. These tests were necessary to ensure ECU protocol conformance and verify the performance of onboard switches for intelligent connected vehicles. To address this, they implemented the Spirent C50 Ethernet Testing Platform from Spirent Communications.

Spirent Communications provided a solution featuring the C50 chassis, the TTworkbench protocol testing platform for automated OPEN TC8 and Avnu conformance tests, and the TestCenter traffic emulation platform for performance benchmarking. This allowed the customer to successfully perform fully automated tests on sample components, saving a significant amount of time in ECU protocol conformance verification and enabling thorough switch performance and AVB/TSN traffic emulation tests.
