Grand Central Terminal, a historic New York City landmark, faced the challenge of replacing its outdated signage with a solution that matched its aesthetic while providing interactive wayfinding and advertising for its shops. They also required a robust system for emergency messaging and cross-property promotions that could be easily managed by non-technical staff from different companies. To address this, they partnered with vendor SpinetiX.

SpinetiX implemented a custom solution using their HMP200 media players and Elementi software, powering specially fabricated touchscreen enclosures. This provided engaging wayfinding and advertising, all while preserving the terminal's historical design. The results for Grand Central Terminal included a more valuable customer service, the ability to offer more impactful advertising, swift emergency messaging updates, and a simple, template-based system that allowed their staff to manage content efficiently.
