ALMI Tankers Maintains Industry-Leading Safety with Spider Impact

ALMI Tankers, an oil tanker management company, wanted to improve execution and monitoring of its business strategy while also maintaining the safety information needed to support its industry-leading standards. To do this, it worked with Spider Strategies and adopted Spider Impact, a balanced scorecard system, to define strategic objectives, KPIs, initiatives, and safety records.

Spider Strategies led a strategy workshop and helped build the resulting objectives and metrics into Spider Impact scorecards for each department. The system has since been used across the company to track performance, centralize data, automate dashboards and reports, and maintain a Strategic Safety Assurance Map, helping ALMI Tankers sustain strong retention rates of 90% at head office and 95% among seafarers while supporting the transport of 150 million barrels annually.
