Vitabrid Japan Implements Spider AF to Counter Unauthorized Resale

Vitabrid Japan, a D2C skincare and nutraceutical company with a subscription-based business model, was struggling with unauthorized resale of its products, especially during initial campaign periods. Resellers were buying discounted products and using affiliate advertising URLs to offset costs, which hurt the company’s sales model. To address this, Vitabrid Japan turned to Spider AF’s fraudulent purchase detection service.

Spider AF implemented a system to detect repetitive purchases and list-type reselling patterns, allowing Vitabrid Japan to cancel suspicious orders and stop shipments before products were resold. As a result, resale incidents gradually decreased, and the company reported improved detection accuracy over time. Vitabrid Japan also noted the solution was easy to implement, and Spider AF is now being considered for automation with cart systems and chatbots to streamline enforcement.
