BuySell Technologies Uncovers Unexpected Click Fraud During a Free 30-Day Trial with Spider AF

BuySell Technologies, a Japanese company with consumer-facing e-commerce operations across categories like kimonos, luxury goods, jewelry, watches, cameras, and alcoholic beverages, wanted to better understand the impact of ad fraud on its online advertising. Although the team initially expected minimal fraud, a free 30-day trial of Spider AF revealed bot clicks, internal employee traffic, and other invalid activity that was distorting campaign performance.

Spider AF detected and blocked invalid traffic, removed internal browsing and test clicks from reporting, and applied campaign-level automation to suppress non-performing placements.
