A multinational company engaged Sphere Partners to help migrate its custom multi-tiered application from on-premise data centers to Microsoft Azure. The challenge was to move the business-critical solution, which included .NET web applications, middleware services, and SQL Server databases, while preserving connectivity to other cloud and on-premise assets and improving total cost of ownership.

Sphere Partners designed and implemented a cloud infrastructure architecture on Azure to meet the application's requirements. They migrated the front-end and middleware servers using snapshot tools into Azure VMs and moved the backend databases to SQL Server on Azure VMs. The migration was completed successfully within the planned maintenance window, resulting in an improved web user experience, maintained system integrity, and a reduced TCO for the customer.
