Sphere Partners helped CreditNinja, a fast-growing web lending application, overcome a challenge with its loan-approval workflow. CreditNinja needed to efficiently integrate multiple third-party services to fetch and store data for its credit-decisioning process without slowing down the workflow its customers depended on.

The solution implemented by Sphere Partners involved building an integration layer as a fleet of AWS Lambda functions in Python, deployed with the Chalice framework. A multithreaded decisioning service called these functions in parallel to speed up data retrieval. This resulted in a CI-ready codebase with 95-100% test coverage, leading to significant financial savings for CreditNinja by filtering out higher-risk applicants earlier and reducing default-driven losses.
