Sipchem Heightens Accountability by Implementing Process Safety Improvements for Operational Excellence

Sipchem, a Saudi Arabian petrochemical manufacturer, needed to strengthen process safety and meet international standards like Responsible Care while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of its safety, health and environment processes. To close gaps in change management and ensure recommended safety changes were completed and auditable, Sipchem turned to Sphera, building on a relationship that began in 2005 with Sphera’s Stature for Risk Assessment and moving to Sphera’s Management of Change (Stature for MOC) solution.

Sphera implemented Stature for MOC to automate configurable, auditable workflows, enforce best practices from prior risk studies, and give managers clear visibility of action status and escalation paths. The result was heightened accountability and consistency across Sipchem’s nine plants, faster and more thorough documentation of safety studies, automated adherence to remediation actions, and stronger audit trails — outcomes that Sphera helped deliver to reduce the risk of safety incidents and improve operational excellence.
