The Co-op, a major UK retail co-operative with over 57,000 colleagues, faced frequent workplace incidents—from accidents to verbal and physical assaults—and needed an easy-to-access, mobile and future-proof incident reporting and analytics system to enforce safety culture and compliance. To address this, The Co-op selected Sphera and its SpheraCloud Health and Safety Software (MySafety).

The Sphera solution produced measurable results: more than one million reported events by July 2022, 1.7 million audits, a 26% reduction in high-severity accidents over two years, lower sick-time costs and improved compliance and workforce well‑being.
