KNPC Advances Industry Best Practices by Expanding Enterprise-Level EHS Information Management

Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Kuwait’s largest downstream oil and gas provider, needed to maintain industry-leading EHS, GHG and sustainability practices while improving efficiency and leveraging EHS data for strategic decisions. To meet these challenges, KNPC partnered with Sphera and expanded its use of Sphera’s Essential Suite enterprise EHS information management platform.

Sphera deployed Essential Suite modules for air & GHG emissions, waste, water, compliance assurance, task and chemical inventory, and process data management, integrated with services from IES. The implementation cut monthly air-emission reporting from 8 hours to 2–3 minutes, imported six years of backlog data, removed six redundant servers, provided 24/7 access for 3,500 users, configured 6,370+ TDVs for CO2 and methane tracking, and supported readiness for ISO 9000/14000 and OHSAS 18000—delivering faster executive decision-making via KPI dashboards.
