Clariant, a global specialty chemicals company, needed to proactively manage supply chain risks to protect its reputation, secure critical inputs and stay competitive. To do this it adopted Sphera Supply Chain Risk Management (formerly riskmethods) to gain real-time alerts and risk visibility across its supplier network and production sites.

Sphera delivered a SaaS risk monitoring and assessment solution that enabled Clariant to run a compliance review of more than 12,000 suppliers within two weeks (identifying 266 very critical and 474 critical alerts), detect a port strike and reroute shipments to avoid disruption, and spot a single‑source vulnerability so an alternate supplier could be contracted. These actions, driven by Sphera, reduced disruption risk, protected brand and shareholder value, and helped Clariant secure better prices and win new business.
