Global Integrated Risk Management Software Provider faced a major turnaround (TAR) on one of the Middle East’s largest, most complex refineries — a 3,000-acre site with 20 plants, more than 2,300 pieces of equipment and 40,843 interrelated jobs — requiring meticulous planning to meet strict QHSE standards and complete mandated TARs every five years. To support safe, standardized execution, the customer selected Sphera and its ORM for Operations software to bring real-time visibility and repeatable, risk-based processes to the TAR.

Sphera worked with the operator to develop a library of ready-to-use job safety analysis (JSA) templates and integrate ORM for Operations with existing planning systems, producing 63 client-approved JSA templates, 40,843 JSAs, 2,363 static equipment job packs and importing 44,553 Primavera tasks. The Sphera solution delivered greater plant reliability, a real-time view of plant health, standardized safety-critical work execution, faster turnaround planning (40,843 JSAs created in two months) and stronger QHSE compliance, laying the foundation for safer, more efficient future TARs.
