FONA International, a world‑renowned flavors company based in Geneva, Illinois, faced a scaling challenge: it creates roughly 500–600 new flavors each month and needed Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels for dozens of markets. Manual, one‑off translations and the complexity of varying Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements slowed sample delivery, increased cost and error risk, and threatened timely compliance—so FONA partnered with Sphera to automate regulatory documentation.

Sphera implemented its Intelligent Authoring software with Managed Regulatory Content to automatically generate SDS and labels (printable in up to 46 languages), standardize GHS handling across markets, and simplify data management. As a result of Sphera’s solution, FONA now produces standardized SDS and labeling for more than 600 flavors per month, reduced translation costs and error risk, and completed the implementation on time and under budget.
