BASF Streamlines Plant Safety Processes Across Global Operations with Standardized Risk Assessments

BASF, the world’s largest chemical producer, faced inconsistent Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) documentation and limited visibility across global sites because plants used Word, Excel or disparate desktop tools for process hazard analyses. To create a unified, auditable approach to risk assessment and action tracking, BASF selected Sphera and its web‑based risk software, Sphera Stature, to standardize templates and workflows across its operations.

Sphera implemented Stature for standardized PHA templates, action‑item tracking and workflow management; within nine months BASF trained 1,600 staff across Europe, Asia and the Americas and created thousands of risk assessments.
