How Silverfin easily manages team spending around the world

Silverfin, a 51–200 FTE connected accounting software company operating in three countries, was losing efficiency, control and visibility as headcount, travel and subscription costs grew. Manual expense reports, slow reimbursement processes and no easy way to track recurring SaaS payments made it hard to scale. To address this, Silverfin implemented Spendesk’s centralized spend management platform, including Spendesk cards, subscription tracking and a Xero integration.

Spendesk provided real‑time payment visibility, virtual/physical cards, automated receipt capture and consolidated subscription management, letting employees travel from day one without out‑of‑pocket expenses and removing manual expense reports. The change saved about 20 hours per month for the company, cut month‑end expense processing from roughly half a day to about an hour, consolidated nine team budgets, and gave finance better control and scalability — enabling Silverfin to grow without adding back‑office headcount.
