A Spendesk Case Study
Bossa, a London-based computer games studio (51–200 employees), struggled with a shared bank debit card, dozens of SaaS subscriptions, rising bank fees, poor visibility into vendor payments and time‑consuming receipt chasing. To fix this, Bossa turned to Spendesk, adopting virtual cards, recurring subscription cards and modern receipt‑capture tools to centralize subscription management and improve payment security.
Spendesk rolled out virtual one‑time and recurring cards, centralized vendor controls, a clear purchasing workflow and Play by the Rules receipt enforcement; Bossa even uses a paused Spendesk card for large monthly bills like AWS to review invoices before payment. The change saved the finance team 50+ hours per month (plus 10+ additional hours), enabled 50+ receipts collected monthly, cut unnecessary fees, eliminated surprise charges and improved VAT recoverability and overall security.
