How AMBOSS takes innovative medical education on the road

AMBOSS, a New York City–based e‑learning platform with 500,000+ users, was facing growing complexity from international travel and spending across subsidiaries, reliance on staff credit cards, and a high volume of online purchases and paper receipts. To streamline expenses and reduce out‑of‑pocket reimbursements, AMBOSS adopted Spendesk — using Spendesk’s prepaid (travel) cards, virtual cards for online payments, and a single spend management platform.

Spendesk provided employees with travel debit cards and on‑demand virtual cards, plus an app to capture receipts and centralize approvals. As a result, AMBOSS now tracks payments and reconciles spending more efficiently (91 users, 36 subscriptions, 16 unique teams on the platform), eliminated routine staff reimbursements, and scaled repeatable online payments while keeping finance processes simple for staff — all managed through Spendesk.
