Navitaire, a leading provider of eCommerce solutions for the airline industry and a subsidiary of Amadeus, faced challenges with manual, inefficient, and costly performance testing. Their existing open-source tools required heavy scripting and made debugging production incidents a slow and privacy-sensitive process. They sought an off-the-shelf solution to automate testing and simulate production environments, leading them to partner with Speedscale.

Speedscale implemented its traffic-based approach, capturing and redacting real production traffic to automatically generate accurate test scenarios instead of relying on scripts. This allowed Navitaire to simulate thousands of calls per second to ensure their flight availability service could scale and to explore service mocking for their legacy platform. While the implementation is still in its early stages, Navitaire anticipates significant gains in productivity and efficiency, expecting to catch issues before deployment and mitigate the high costs associated with investigating production incidents.
