Using SpeedGauge to show drivers the way to safety

TCW, a transportation company, wanted to improve driver safety and reduce speeding across its fleet. When it began using SpeedGauge’s Safety Center and summary reports, drivers were initially resistant to the idea of being monitored and worried about punishment.

SpeedGauge helped TCW turn the program into a coaching and incentive system, combining summary reports with quarterly safety bonuses and a peer-led Master Coach Program. As a result, TCW reduced its average speeding rate from 3% to 0.5%, and today more than 80% of drivers keep their speeding below 1% each quarter.
