Thorntons, a leading independent gasoline and convenience retailer with 180 locations and more than $2.3 billion in annual revenue, needed a better way to promote in-store food and manage digital signage across its sites. The company had struggled with a previous system that was hard to use, offered little visibility into display health, and made content updates time-consuming — challenges Thorntons addressed by switching to Spectrio’s digital menu/digital signage solution and web-based Content Creation Engine.
Spectrio implemented three-screen video walls above Real Kitchen areas, provided content-creation tools and strategic consultation, and enabled centralized pricing and scheduling so menus can be tailored by store. As a result, Thorntons gained full visibility into player/display health, reduced content design costs and time, elevated in-store presentation, automated price updates across locations, and expanded use of Spectrio into corporate video walls and internal communications.
