Tæppeland Improves Customer Service and Sales Performance with Spectralink Wireless Telephony Solution

Tæppeland, Denmark’s leading domestic and commercial flooring retailer with headquarters in Glostrup and 38 retail outlets nationwide, struggled with missed calls and lost sales because staff were often away from wired phones. Seeking a scalable wireless telephony upgrade, Tæppeland engaged Spectralink (via reseller IP Vision and consultant Lemvigh‑Müller) to address coverage, mobility and call‑handling issues using a Spectralink Wireless IP telephony solution based on the Spectralink DECT standard.

Spectralink’s DECT solution—deployed at each location (with two servers at the large Glostrup site) and 100 Spectralink handsets in use—gave staff roaming, handset hand‑over and full PBX feature parity, plus hosted central administration through IP Vision. The result: every incoming call can now be answered from anywhere on the shop floor, improved customer satisfaction, immediate cost savings from eliminating wired line subscriptions, easier scaling of new locations/users, and an almost immediate return on investment.
