A SpectraLink Case Study

Preview of the Siegfried Holding AG Case Study

Siegfried Holding AG secures 600 employees across 53 buildings with SpectraLink

Siegfried Holding AG, a major pharmaceutical manufacturer, faced a significant challenge in providing certified lone worker protection across its large, complex Swiss production site. The strict safety regulations, explosion-proof zones, and buildings that blocked GPS and cellular signals made it impossible to reliably locate employees or establish a stable voice connection in an emergency. To address this, Siegfried partnered with vendor SpectraLink and implemented a solution using tetronik's DAKS system on Spectralink handsets.

The solution implemented by SpectraLink and tetronik involved deploying over 200 DECT base stations to ensure comprehensive coverage, including in explosion-proof areas. The system integrated Spectralink 7642 handsets as personal alarm devices, enabling immediate voice communication and precise location visualization for rescuers. While no real emergencies have occurred since implementation, the system provides Siegfried with the critical ability to locate all employees across the entire premises, significantly enhancing staff security and meeting all stringent regulatory requirements.
