Canadian Nuclear Laboratories deploys 50 Aeroqual Dust Sentry monitors with Specto Technology

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) is carrying out the Port Hope Area Initiative, Canada’s largest environmental cleanup, to manage millions of cubic metres of low-level radioactive waste. The project needed reliable air monitoring to support dust management, meet environmental objectives, and address community concerns, and Specto Technology provided Aeroqual Dust Sentry monitors and Aeroqual Cloud software.

Specto Technology helped WSP and CNL deploy about 50 Aeroqual Dust Sentry monitors, many solar-powered, for perimeter air monitoring upwind and downwind of dust-generating work. The system delivers real-time alerts, supports compliance checks against control and action levels, and provides data for public air quality reports, helping protect the environment and public health while supporting long-term monitoring for the ongoing project.
