Case Study: Saint-Gobain achieves real-time, standardized specification management and faster product development with Specright

A Specright Case Study

Preview of the Saint-Gobain Case Study

Driving Product Development and Efficiency through Specification Digitization

Saint-Gobain, a global designer and manufacturer of construction and industrial materials operating in 70 countries with 10 North American manufacturing sites and 170,000 employees, faced fragmented specification workflows and inconsistent data formatting. Plants relied on supplier files and tribal knowledge, which created production bottlenecks, missing sourcing data, and slowed document approvals. To address this, Saint-Gobain turned to Specright’s Specification Data Management (SDM) system.

Specright implemented a centralized SDM that gives cross-functional teams real-time access to validated spec data with revision visibility and timestamps, plus auto-generated box specifications that standardize packaging templates with unique IDs, part numbers, and artwork BOMs. As a result, Specright delivered a single source of truth that eliminated time spent searching disconnected legacy systems, sped data requests and approvals, improved confidence across plants and suppliers, and streamlined product and packaging redesigns.
