Digitizing the Supply Chain with Specright

Grimmway Farms, the world’s largest grower, producer, and shipper of carrots, faced chaotic procurement and production as its many brands and product innovations created an explosion of packaging requirements. To bring order to managing packaging specs, Grimmway Farms partnered with Specright and adopted Specright’s Specification Data Management platform (including the Exchange procurement tool) to standardize, digitize, and centrally manage packaging specifications across its supplier network.

Specright worked with Grimmway to capture accurate, up-to-date spec data, run packaging RFPs via Exchange, and extend the platform to New Product Development, Artwork, and CapEx work orders—creating a digital thread for traceability. As a result, RFP preparation time was cut in half, supplier onboarding dropped from two months to one, data and packaging quality improved, organizational efficiency increased, and Grimmway realized significant cost savings thanks to Specright.
