A Specright Case Study
Colgate-Palmolive, a global consumer goods company with four divisions and 40+ manufacturing facilities supplying products to over 200 countries, faced fragmented engineering practices: teams at each plant worked in isolation, machinery and equipment specifications weren’t standardized, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) were slow and error-prone. To address these challenges, Colgate-Palmolive engaged Specright and its cloud-based equipment specifications platform to create a common repository and collaboration layer for global engineering teams and OEM suppliers.
Using Specright as the foundation for a global equipment specifications platform, Colgate-Palmolive standardized templates, integrated OEM supplier details, and centralized FAT/SAT and performance requirements, dramatically reducing the time to build specifications and for suppliers to access requirements. The result was faster time-to-market, fewer manual errors, equipment standardization and more predictable performance, and the ability to grow without hiring additional engineers—freeing teams for strategic continuous-improvement work.
