Self-service password management for students and staff

Loughborough Endowed Schools, a UK education group serving 500 staff and more than 2,000 students, needed a better way to manage frequent password reset requests. With one-to-one iPads rolling out to students and staff, password expiry warnings were becoming less visible, password resets were taking up IT time, and expired passwords could also cut off internet access and school services.

Specops implemented Specops Password Reset, giving users self-service password resets through a mobile app or any browser without needing an additional server. The solution was easy to deploy, stored data securely in Active Directory, and helped Loughborough Endowed Schools reduce password-related IT workload, improve user satisfaction, and support a stronger password expiry policy so the IT team could focus on other strategic projects.
