Bollinger+Grohmann, a Europe-based engineering practice, was facing a significant challenge as its structural engineers spent a great deal of time on manual PDF annotations. This process was inefficient, prone to errors from working on outdated files, and resulted in wasted time that hampered collaboration. To address this, they turned to the Speckle platform to make project data more accessible and improve their workflows.

Using the Speckle platform, an in-house developer built a custom Parameters App that pulls Revit data from Speckle, allowing engineers to efficiently check, edit, and update model parameters through an intuitive interface. The solution, powered by Speckle, replaced the manual PDF process, leading to a major increase in efficiency, time saved by avoiding errors, and better version control. The app also provided the team with a better understanding of the geometry and design, improving overall decision-making.
