How Lexicon Sparked Mental Health Conversations on Every Job Site — Using Speakap

Lexicon Inc., a national construction and steel fabrication company with 3,000+ employees across 30+ job sites in 13 states, needed a better way to run an internal mental health awareness campaign for a highly distributed frontline workforce. Speakap’s employee communications platform, LexCOMM, was used to reach workers who did not sit at desks or regularly check email, in an industry where stigma and silence can keep people from seeking help.

Using Speakap, Lexicon launched its “Strongest Steel” campaign with mobile-first, two-way communication, multilingual content, push notifications, leadership videos, and easy access to support resources. The campaign boosted weekly active platform users by 40%, from about 300 to more than 420, and sparked real conversations across job sites, with employees and leaders openly sharing personal stories and encouraging help-seeking behavior.
